A lot of times unconsidered, peace is full of flaws and
take turns, however it has been getting some success and offers hope
for the future. Palestine has always been demonstrating, in words
and in accomplishments, that it is committed to genuine peace with
her Jewish neighbor.
The Brazilian Palestinian National Interest Committee
(BPNIC) has
already started promoting among the Brazilian society, asking that
concrete measure are taken to secure a nation for Palestinians. With
the support of its members, the Committee continues to promote
Brazil as key for Palestinian-Israeli peace, and promote Brazil's
interests in the Middle East by urging its members to maintain
contact with Members of Congress, to support important initiatives
that would lead to the creation of a Palestinian State.
To reach this objective, in the month of February 2008, Brazilian
Foreign Minister Celso Amorim and Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad
al-Malki sign a BPNIC fostered agreement that designates Palestine
as a major Arab League ally of Brazil. The memorandum
comprises one of the most comprehensive agreements ever signed
between the two countries, marking a major turning point in their
relations.
BPNIC reasserts the vital relationship between Brazil and the
Palestinian National Authority, based upon common interests and
values, and is working hard in achieving economic cooperation;
recognize reciprocal benefits from Palestinian National
Authority-Brazil trade agreement.
