Palestinian National Authority Request for Humanitarian Aid

The serious
situation that affects the civil population of the Palestinian territories resulting
from the long-lasting conflicts with the Defense Forces of Israel, led the
Palestinian representative, Ambassador Odeh, to present a formal request for
humanitarian aid in an official note addressed to the Brazilian government. On
16 November, Ambassador Odeh requested the Near East Division (DOP) of the
Brazilian Ministry of External Relations for further information.
The above Palestinian request includes the following points: beds in Brazilian
hospitals; places for students in Brazilian universities, participation of
Palestinian diplomats in the PROFA-I, in the Rio Branco Institute; donation of
ambulances.
The requests were analyzed by the areas concerned (Ministry of Health, Ministry of
Education, Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, airlines, and Brazilian Air
Force).
