The Brazilian Palestinian National Interest Committee (BPNIC) in São Paulo is recruiting
new members for the board of directors. We're looking for people to direct
pro-Palestinian activities in Brazil.
Description
Working with other board members to achieve annual fundraising goals and
include significant new donor development in São Paulo.
Coordinating and executing annual development plan with local leadership
to include face-to-face solicitations of major donors.
Identifying prospects and soliciting contributions of $10,000 or more.
Cultivating and recruiting new members, donors and leaders.
Creating a leadership path for activists.
Identifying and recruiting appropriate members for national and regional
programs.
Encouraging pro-Palestinian political activism
Educating community members regarding the political process and political
analyses of congressional districts in São Paulo.
Public speaking in
small and large venues to brief the leadership, membership and pro-Palestinian
community regarding the latest developments in the Palestinian Territories.
Working with a junior development professional with the planning and
execution of meetings and events in the areas above including:
Quarterly working meetings with two area leadership councils.
Annual fundraising event for major donors.
Approximately 2-3 educational programs for area leadership per year.
Parlor meetings and outreach to new prospects.
Approximately 4-5 community-wide events per year.
Coordinating recruitment events for national initiatives including
BPNIC
Bridges to Palestine Conference, National Summit on Foreign Development and
Missions.
Qualifications
Knowledge of Palestinian National Authority and/or politics desirable.
Self-starter who will create innovation opportunities to attract new
activists and donors to BPNIC.
Public speaking skills.
Experience in non-profit organizations a plus.
